Denning's mastery of the characters involved in the plot felt real. The Star Wars universe is alive, teeming with adventure, mystery, and action--lots of action. There were two things that made this book marvelous, in my opinion. Fate of the Jedi: Abyss is the third novel in the nine-book Fate of the Jedi series set two years after Star Wars: Legacy of the Force by Troy Denning and was released on Aug. At the end of the book, it has an introduction to Backlash. The audio version is narrated by Marc Thompson. The paperback was released on J. Peace is the way of the Jedi. But with deadly enemies.

This book pretty much has it all. Troy Denning does a great job of balancing the different element of this book. There is a horror element to the book, personally I don't like horror stories, but Denning manages to keep it on the tipping point of Sci-fi which I greatly appreciated. Denning also manages to resurrect a couple of his odd characters. In "Abyss" by Troy Denning, the series really turned around. Denning's mastery of the characters involved in the plot felt real.
